ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

1. Academic

a) Graduates and post graduates may apply with college Leaving Certificate.
b) As per norms of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), a candidate should have secured at least 50% marks in the aggregate at the Bachelor’s degree examination of a recognized University.

Please Note:

Candidates of the following background will not be considered for admission.

1) who have appeared for the University examination and are awaiting results.
2) who have received the marks from the cross list only.
3) who have already been enrolled for other courses viz:* Computer Science* Management Training rogramme* Competitive exams or any post graduate studies.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

THE TIME OF ADMISSION

The candidate has to submit the following ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES in the office.

1. College Leaving Certificate
2. Medical Certificate
3. Caste and Income Certificates (for ST/SC/BC students)
4. Registration Number of Ranchi University.
5. Migration Certificate if the candidate has obtained her Bachelor's or Master's Degree, from other than Ranchi University.
6. A letter of release from the Head of the School if the candidate is employed as a teacher.
7. Three recent passport size (5 x 4 cm) colour photos.
8. Residential Certificat.
9. UID Card

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. A student admitted to Ursuline Women's Teacher's Training College must maintain an ethos of commitment to a professional programme. She is expected to aim at excellence in every sphere and conduct herself in a responsible and dignified manner in the college campus.
2. As per Ranchi University and Ncte norms, the minimum attendance required for all theory classes (including optional subjects) is 75%. The college expects cent percent attendance in all classes.
3. The trainee must attend all demonstration classes during the course as well as her scheduled practice teaching classes in January/February. She is expected to teach in any school assigned by the college authorities
4. The trainee should attend all college functions and activities such as cultural functions, seminars, symposia, debate, quiz, essay competitions, sports, picnic, community services, exposure programmes etc.
5. Educational tour is a part of the training programme therefore every one has to particapate in it.
6 Prior permission from the Principal is required for absence from theory or practical classes and community life activities. Application should be made in writing.
7 No commitment for external activities such as competitive exams, computer course, private tuitions, University exams should be undertaken during the regular college timings of classes and activities.
8 The student's name is liable to be dropped from the attendance register if she is absent continuously for more than 10 days without permission. Re-admission fee will be charged, if it is granted at all.
9. The college has a well maintained library of over 11228 books and periodicals. Every student is expected to make the best use of it making sure, however, to observe the rules of the library.
10. The trainees are expected to take proper care of the college property and help to maintain the premises neat and clean.
11. The conduct of a trainee in the class as well as the college premises will be such that no disturbance is caused to fellow students or other classes.
12. The college uniform is cream sari & blouse. Therefore each one should have at least two sets of the same.
13. If, for any reason the continuance of a trainee in the college is, in the opinion of the principal, detrimental to the best interests of the college, the principal may ask such student to leave the college without giving reason for her decision.

AWARD OF DIVISION

Studens will be awarded division based on the marks obtained in theory and practical examinations, Records and Projects.

1	First Class with distincion	75%
2	First Class	60% and above but less than 75%
3	Second Class	45% and above but less than 60%
4	Minimum pass marks in theory papers	45%
5	Minimum pass marks in practicla papers	45%
6	Minimum pass marks in practical/Projects/Records	75%

FEE STRUCTURE

1st Year :

First Installment - Rs. 75,000/- (Rs. Sixty Thousand only)

Second Installment - Rs. 20,000/- (Rs. Thirty Five Thousand only)

Grant Total (1st year) - Rs. 95,000/- (Rs. Ninety Five Thousand only)
2nd Year :

First Installment - Rs. 75,000/- (Rs. Sixty Thousand only)

Second Installment - Rs. 20,000/- (Rs. Thirty Five Thousand only)

Grant Total (2nd year) - Rs. 95,000/- (Rs. Ninety Five Thousand only)

Note: The installments will be paid through D.D. in favour of Ursuline Women's Teachers' Training College, Lohardaga, payable at Lohardaga or through RTGS.

Hostel Fees

Seat Rent – 7000/- (annually) Mess & Other Charges – 2100 (montly) .

Scholarship

The college provides scholarship in accordance with the guidelines set by the Government of Jharkhand on the Jharkhand scholarship portal. These scholarships are offered to the students who are applying for admission in the college.

Following scholarship information is divided according to the merit, social category, and type of course the student is enrolling in:

Scholarship for Social Categories –

Applicants from OBC, SC, and ST can apply for scholarship under this program on the basis of their annual family income. The students get scholarship if their family income is lower than ₹2.5 lakh for SC/ST and ₹1.5 lakh for OBC. The applicants are required to submit the income tax certificate and the caste certificate that is duly signed by the tahsildar under authority.

Scholarship for Meritorious Candidates –

Students with 85% or more marks in the HSC/SSC examination are eligible for scholarship under this program. Scholarships are offered either in bulk at the start of the graduate program or in-parts before the start of each term. The university also offers special concessions to the candidates that belong to the economically backward sections of the society.

Following are the list of documents that the candidates need to submit to apply and avail scholarship through AISECT University Jharkhand:

Attested copy of caste certificate that is duly signed by the Tahsildar
Original copy of income certificate that is duly signed by the Tahsildar
Attested copies of the SSC and HSC marksheets
Attested copies of the final year marksheet if the candidate is applying for postgraduate courses
Printed and completed Online Application Form from Jharkhand Scholarship Portal
Attested copy of domicile certificate
Copy of bank passbook with clearly visible IFSC code
Attested copy of the Aadhar card

Payment & Refund Policy

Online/Offline Payment Refund & Cancellation Policy

In most cases, no refund will be granted once the payment is done. However, exceptions may be made based on the following circumstances:

Multiple payments for same services. A candidate paid the fee online but did not get the confirmation due to connection failure and the University is not able provide softcopy of the Fee Invoice. Transaction fees charged would not be refunded/ reversed for any refund or reversal of any transaction.

Note: For online payments, it is important for candidates to note the transaction number and order no. for future reference and request for any type of refund, for whatsoever reason, will be at the sole discretion of the University.

Terms and Conditions

No Fees is refunded in following cases

Case of non-performance
Attendance below specified level
If candidate is expelled in case of some discipline issue
In case a candidate is found to be non-eligible or not following any rules and regulation specified by the institution in the Students Guidelines and Students declaration form during any stage of the admission process or course delivery, his/her admission will stand cancelled.
If student’s admission is cancelled or he/she is terminated based on any ground.
